DUSKO RADOVIC VERSES – THIS YEAR THEME FOR CHILDREN GATHERINGS

International Children Day was celebrated in St. Sava hall in Nis with traditional manifestation ` Friendship meetings – Joy of Europe 2012` organized successfully for sixth year by Church – dancing ensemble `Branko` with blessing of His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan and auspices of Palilula Municipality. `Zlatno slavujce` –Golden Nightingale from Skopje, folk ensemble from Senta (Fund `Stevan Sremac`), Children cultural center, Belgrade, children from Children cultural-educational and recreation center from Nis presented their programmes in Nis.
`Today is special joy, for John the Baptist was conceived, reminded the participants of this manifestation in his blessing the Archbishop of Nis Dr.Jovan. On this day all Christians celebrate John the Baptist who was Christ’s precursor. Right values there would not be if Christ had not risen and won death, devil and sin. That kind of happiness, children, and all those who have children soul even old men and those young in spirit, feel. The carrier of this happiness is our people and all of you here. This will be most felt and shown in singing and dancing. In the name of all that I am greeting you and wish the Gods blessing, beautiful evening and our children all blessings for growing to heavens heights. In the name of Palilula Municipality, as sponsor of Friendship of children gathering, little performers and organizers of programme were greeted by Boban Dzunic, president of the Municipality and also opened the manifestation. `Here is St Sava Hall tonight we are happy for children, we are giving the support to their development and creation. Thanks to Church dancing ensemble `Branko` part of oldest and biggest international children manifestation in Serbia – `Joy of Europe` again is in our town. I want to remind you, emphasized Dzunic, that this programme tonight is dedicated to Dusko Radovic, great Serbian but also Nis writer for children for the celebration of 90 years from his birth.
In Dusko Radovic verses `Let us put down streams into wide rivers, let us develop left and right tributaries`, that are chosen as a theme of this year meeting of European children, little performers found their inspiration to develop ecological consciousness. It was very interesting, cultural artistic programme. The performance of the manifestation participants in Nis St Sava hall was greeted with applause and artistic manager of Church dancing ensemble `Branko` Miljko Petrovic in the sign of gratitude and future cooperation gave the certificates of gratitude to performers.
